Little Tuggers Pedal Pulls did the best they could with the rain. The help of the folks at the fair and Myers Pedal Tractor Pulls got things set up in the horse barn and the fun was on. Great pulls, happy kids, super competition and lots of cheering. Pedal Pulls are about the kids and everyone worked together in a less than perfect situation to create a great time for them. Intermixed with the fun was a chance to see Kayla Myers and Jordan Hansen. Kayla is 10 and has qualified for nationals in the past and Jordan is a many time champion at state, national, and international levels. Jordan is in his last season at 12 years old. Any community has to look at this event in the future as it is good clean fun, with the kids and families at heart. No wonder this is the fastest growing childrens event in the country.

Both these competitors are State Champions and will be competing in the National Championships in Mitchell SD. They may both be at the Rock Port Pedal Pull on Saturday the 20th of September. This will be a warmup for National competition. Don't miss Old Fashion Saturday Night in Rock Port.

Kayla Myers was crowned the 2008 10 year old National Champion. Jordan Hansen was crowned the 12 year old National Runners-up.

Here we are again. I hear there will be a great selection of girls pulling in the upper division. One of the best 10 year old girls in the country from Randolph IA is planning on coming. It appears the Myers girls will try to make it from Lenox IA. Remember Kayla is a National Champion pedaling 11 year old. Kendra Myers is 12 and in her last season of pedaling. The Myers are looking forward to coming home for Ken who graduated from Auburn High School. Join us at the fair July 28th.
