walking for exercise- is it really safe?

Postby FSE on Thu May 15, 2008 2:06 pm

page 6 of the may 14th paper

Anyone who walks for exercise ,should or could relate to the article ,My Son and Me.
Ever been walking along and wonder why that car passed by so close, especially when there was no other traffic near at the time.
This was someones loving pet,but it could have been someones child just as easy.
In fact it could have been an adult.
It a collision with a car and a pet or person-the car will ussually win.

I agree! There are several crazy drivers out there who would do well to look out and slow down for pedestrians and pets. I often go on walks with my son (almost 2) and husband. There has been a few occasions where we could have run over if we hadn't been on the look out. I don't see how is it hard to miss 2 people pushing a stroller on the side streets...

On a side note Auburn does have a leash law for a reason. Was this pet on a leash?
